    HelloMy PC has been having this issue very recently where i will boot it up and everything is fine and than i will play a game like Fortnite and when i open another tab like chrome it freezes everything stopping my keyboard from working only my mouse works. Once i wait like 5min nothing is happening so i try to click the power off button and that doesn't work either so i have to hold down my power button for like 10 seconds and than it shuts down and works again but keeps doing the same thing over and over again. {note i have already downloaded all the new drivers for everything and did the co

    • What happens when you try to open multiple apps?

    • What exact error message are you get when you try to open multiple apps?

    • Are you referring to Windows app or Desktop app?


    I would suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps:


    • Open multiple apps that you want.

    • Right click on the task bar.

    • From the jump menu select Show all windows side by side.
    I also suggest you to run app troubleshooter and check if it helps.

    This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. System freezing and not being able to do anything when i open multiple apps. Please help :)

    In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    Method 1: Run the apps troubleshooter and check if it helps with the issue.

    The Modern app troubleshooter can automatically identify and fix some problems with apps and the Store

    Method 2: I suggest you to follow the steps below to reset the Windows store:


    • Press the “Win Logo” + “R”

    • Type: WSReset.exe and press “Enter”.

    • Restart the computer and check.


    Method 3: Try to perform system file checker. Follow the steps below which will help you:

    • Press Windows key + X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
    • In the Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

      sfc /scannow.
    The sfc /scannow command will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files with a cached copy that is located in a compressed folder at %WinDir%\System32\dllcache.
