Windows 10: System goes in sleep mode automatically even when it has been disabled in power settings

Hi,

I am using Windows 10 OS Build 17763.1457. Seeing a weird issue for quite some time related to Sleep mode.

I have completely turned off automatic Sleep option in 'Power and Sleep Settings' and advanced power settings, but still my system goes in sleep mode every few minutes.

I realized that this issue starts after I manually sleep the machine once by pressing power button and wake up the machine later until then there is no issue. After this point, it automatically goes to sleep every few minutes I think 5 min whenever there is no activity.

This is so annoying. I have installed latest windows updates, but no luck.

Anyone else have faced the same issue ?

Can you give me the steps you did to disable Sleep mode? This is to provide the best troubleshooting steps. For now, set Power Options in the Control Panel to never sleep. Here's how you can do this:

• Press Windows key on your keyboard, type Control Panel and click the search result.
• On the search box on the upper-right corner of the window, type Power Options and click
  Power Options.
• Click Change plan settings on the Power plan you're using.
• Change the option for Put the computer to sleep: to
  Never.

Computer goes to Sleep mode automatically

• Navigate to Start>Settings>System>Power & sleep.
• In the right pane, select Never from the drop down list for
  Screen and Sleep.
• Close the dialog box and check for status.
