Windows 10: System Hung 64% during Windows 11 update

Discus and support System Hung 64% during Windows 11 update in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I was trying to install an update to Windows 11 on 1/31/25.     System Hung 64% during Windows 11 update


    I was trying to install an update to Windows 11 on 1/31/25. It took a long time but it did reboot once and then it got to 64% and it hung for 4 hours. I finally turned off but I need help on how to turn back on and continue? I want to be sure I don't hurt anything. Please give me the steps to follow. I have Dell Lattitude 7400?

    Windows 10 Culmative Update 1607-64 KB3189866 hung at 95%, but KB3189031 was installed on 09/01/2016

    background (wallpaper) seems to be hung


    I see on my background a picture from a series of pictures I wanted for a slide show. Went to Settings/Personalization/Backgrond and followed the steps once upon a time and I think it worked? Anyway, now the app appears to be hung and I don't know how to get it working. I've tried going through the settings and can change the background (behind the slideshow) color but nothing else. I found your forum and tried many of the ideas suggested to no avail. Can someone suggest how to get it working again?

    System Hung 64% during Windows 11 update

    Windows 7 Ultimate (64) Security updates not installing.

    I have been having problems in installing the updates that I have listed below. For each update I attempted to install them individually but they would not install. I also downloaded the SURT 6.1 KB947821 v27. The problem has been going on now for about 2 months. (whenever the issue with the updates comes to mind I am never near my pc). Thank you in advance.
