Windows 10: System Image Backup hanging at 97%

Trust MS to have not completed yet another useless OS.

Perhaps if they concentrated more in the past 20 years at actually trying to create a functioning OS instead of concentrating on how to steal peoples personal data and creating back doors, windows! and cameras into peoples lives these thieving toerags might have been able to get one crappy copy of windows working for a change but lets face it MS have never strived to finish one single OS in their miserable existence unlike Apple or totally free Linux but to be fair they were actually concentrating on getting software to work all be it at the same time as stealing data unlike Linux! the odd man out and bless those at Linux the only OS that gives and does not receive they are certainly a anomaly in this day and age of cyber crime.


Now for another windows fault description. image stuck at 97% and after reading countless threads not one useless member of MS has ever come forward to fix their crappy OS and not one solution has come to the table now there's a shock!. instead they leave it to the customers to work out their problems for them as they obviously couldn't fix their own ****.

notice how this is more about **** about MS then asking for help! well that's because I have never seen an MS site ever fix a single issue or have any useful user friendly information, microsoft Help and trouble shooting utilities are a laugh except it's more insulting then funny.

Like most useful comments found on this site and that is use third party apps to get windows working by replacing its function LOL that say it all. living proof you don't have to create something that actually works to become a billionaire.

System Image Backup Stalling at 97%

Hi, sorry for my english, I spek french.

I've a similar problem with windows 10 version 1511, my backup stalls at 97 % during creation of system image.

After some hours, nothing changes but my PC goes to sleep automatically.

If I suppress the creation of system image in the backup settings, the backup finished normally after some minutes.

At the moment the backup stalls at 97 % , an error occurs in the event viewer:

CAPI12 Event 513

AddLegacyDriverFiles: Unable to back up image of binary Protocole LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) Microsoft.

System Error:

Acces denied.

Like you, I've tested different solutions after creating a restore point to get back.

The error disappear but the backup continue to stalls at 97 %.

I went back to my previous retore point awaiting a Microsoft solution.

I will also mention that I've made 2 days ago a new clean install of win 10. Backup works correctly.

After update to win 10 version 1511 yesterday, the backup problem is back, stalling at 97 %

My backup peaks at the 97% mark.

Is there another way to bypass the traditional Microsoft backup? Another software pgm that works?

(FYI...I have jumped through the hoops suggested, and nothing works. I am tired of the chores.)

System Image Backup Stalling at 97%

I have Windows 10 and want to do a clean install so I can hopefully fix issues with connecting to my printer. Before I do this, I want to create a system image backup, just in case. However, it keep freezing at 97%. I have tried over six different times
and each time it stops at 97% (even when I leave it on overnight). I tried everything from this forum:

without any luck. I am using a recently purchased 3 TB Toshiba external hard drive. I am able to save File History on it without trouble, but not create a system image. Please help me! I will provide some screen shots which may help...
