Windows 10: System Image + new Samsung 850 EVO SSD

Following a successful install of Creator's Update I transferred all files-including OS-to a Samsung 850 EVO SSD (500gb) using Samsung Magician software supplied with the SSD.

File transfer went was perfect. Old HDD was removed and replaced with Samsung SSD. Reboot was faster (as expected) and everything appeared to be perfect until I attempted a System Image (START-CONTROL PANEL-BACKUP AND RESTORE (Windows 7), which opened to a screen not previously seen with "Backup or Restore your files" having a clickable appearance but nothing happens when clicked. In the past System Image was saved to a portable HDD but the most recent Image performed ended with a message indicating the attempt to Image the drive (Samsung) failed.


Re-opened Samsung Magician software and attempted to retrace/reverse steps and nothing changed. Am I missing something? Are there additional alternative methods to access and start System Image within Windows 10?

120Gb Samsung 850 EVO SSD. There is no new firmware for it.

 

Anyone upgrade to a SSD? Will there be a significant improvement in performance?

which SSD u got? im leaning towards the samsung 850 EVO.

 

Not quite clear what you are trying to do?
Are you trying to create an Image file of the SSD now that it is cloned?
Or are you trying to restore a previous image file to the SSD?

 

I hope to perform a System Image of the SSD.
