Windows 10: "System Information" is null !!

Hello !

When I opened the "System Information" here after SI from SI

in "Windows Administration Tools", I found its contents are

all null !!

Its dialogue box is appeared but all items are blank.


Do you have any idea ?

I simply guess the information are existing somewhere, such as

Registry or etc. but say Registry has a switch for display them or not.


When I activate Task Manager, Performance/CPU shows exact

CPU name of PC. Therefore I guess the information is exist

in the system.


For your information, the configuration of PC is as follows;

i7 6000 3.6GHz

8 GB

500GB/about 400GB free

Windows 10 Home 1909

etc.

System Volume Information Wasting Space with Large Files Containing Nulls

Both my windows 10 and (old) windows vista laptops contain very large files in the hidden folder: System Volume Information

These files are large - as large as 3.5G. They also contain nothing but NULL bytes! So they contain NO information. Can I

just delete these files or is this dangerous? (I think I can do this from the linux sides of these laptops.)

Updates are available.

When activated for update for the above messages as displayed; I am getting these following error messages:

Programs not working

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
