Windows 10: system lags a lot

I was previously using windows 7. To boost my performance , I switched to windows 10. However after installing windows 10, system performance didn't get improved. Although I created virtual RAM but the condition stayed same. Minor application like MS Teams lags a lot and multitasking has been very badly influenced. What should I do to boost my performance? Should I switch my windows back to 7 ?

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
