Windows 10: system model showing wrong cpu on system information

i recently switched my cpu from a ryzen 7 7700x to a ryzen 7 7800x3d and on system information, my system model shows up as ryzen 7 7700, but the processor shows up correctly ryzen 7 7800x3d. pc runs fine and everythingheres a picture. https://ibb.co/48tSMzs

wrong system information

hello, I own an Asus laptop, model F554LA. Since I updated to win10 I occasionally have flickering screen problems, possibly due to wrong display adapter driver. I have tried every possible solution found on the internet but the problem always reappears.

Lately I discovered that in the system information tool, it appears a wrong system model, in particular X555LA and not the correct F554LA.

Is it possible that windows updates my drivers for the wrong model, causing the problem and if yes how do I fix that ?

Hi Gian,

you are spot on. I edited the OEM info in the registry and after a reboot the model number shown in System info is now correct. Incidentally there was a second entry under software WPS Office that also showed the incorrect model number, not that this affects
the Sys Info page.

Notification/System tray programs showing wrongs icons

I'm not great with languages but what I see is right to left of the Notification Area. Mine is left to right:



Some adjustments can be made to what is shown is accomplished by clicking the small up arrow to get the full list. Also right-clicking the Taskbar and choosing Taskbar settings then going to the Notification area can lead to enabling or disabling features on the bar.

Can't say about the clock but that suggests the whole screen may have been rotated or flipped.
