Windows 10: System not opening

Hello, I have posted here before, it’s been awhile, mainly on another email address. I’m having a little issue and need a little help.When I click windows start - setting - system, When I click system nothing opens, other things in the settings menu does.I’ve tried all of the Sfc / scannow and a bunch of other ones. Nothing works, been on three hours!The only thing that makes it work again is Safe mode and/or new user account.Not sure of how to rectify the problem,, any help? I don’t want to migrate all my setting, work, etc. plus I just fixed the right button click on the start menu for the c

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Programs not working

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

 

Context Menu - Open With (Windows Suggested List)

Well.. have a look at this:

I took a risk. I've set a System Restore point then installed Gold Wave. It was not present in that Open With list. I used the Default Programs Editor:

Did you click Save...? You should have seen:

Note: if you are running as a standard user you may need to run it as admin, if it doesn't offer a UAC prompt.
