    System panic with USB printer connected after Jul 6 emergency patch release


    Following the recent emergency patch for the print spooler vulnerability my system panics and reboots. I have narrowed it down to when my printer is connected via USB, if I disconnect the USB the system will not panic.I have a Brother MFC-J885DW with the latest firmware and the latest Brother software installed on the PC. My system has all the latest patches and drivers installed.Edition Windows 10 Home Version 21H1 Installed on ‎9/‎5/‎2020 OS build 19043.1083 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0 A couple things that I see in the Event Viewer when it panic's and reboots a

    Emergency Alerts

    Hi Stephanie,

    Just to confirm, is this the same thing that you tried on your phone, in order to turn off Amber Alerts?

    • Open Settings.
    • Tap on System.
    • Tap on Messaging.
    • Tap on the Change emergency alert settings link.
    • Turn on or off the emergency alerts you want.

    Let us know if this was the same thing that you tried.

    We would also suggest to reset your phone after doing these steps to ensure that the changes on your phone's settings will be refreshed.

    Simply press and hold the Power and Volume down button for 15 seconds and then release your hold afterwards.
