Windows 10: System partition shows up as primary, no boot

Hi, as in the title my problem is that the main system partition shows up as a fully primary partition, when trying to boot, I show a bios error "no boot device found press any ke......" bootrec /showos shows that the system on this drive is I have tried creating and deleting system partitions, using cmd commands such as /fixboot/mbr etc but the effect is still the sameI also tried using the second drive with the system to display the option to switch to another operating system, however that nothing is displayed My motherboard is jingsha x99 dual cpu, that mbo corrupt mbr very ofter such a

Exclude partition from system image.

I have two drives in my system.

Disk manager details - The first drive has 3 partitions:

• System Reserved (System, Active, Primary)
• Windows 7 (Page File, Primary)
• Data Partition 1 (Primary)

The second drive has 2 partitions

• Windows 10 (Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary)
• Data Partition 2 (Primary)

The first data partition has user profiles and shares used for both operating systems. The second data partition is just extra space to hold data temporarily.

This being said, I would like to create a system image with everything but the second data partition. However, it shows up as a system partition in the system image creation module. If fact, all the partitions except Windows 7 show as system and are default
selected and cannot be deselected.

Why does the second data partition show as system? Can I remove the system attribute? I have made sure nothing on this volume is indexed and that it does not contain any page, hibernation, or other system files. One of the folders is compressed, but that
is the only thing special on the volume.

 

Help! Data partition not showing under my computer

This is happening on a windows 2000 server. Our second partition of the system, for data is not showing under my computer. Here are the properties of it in disk management:





Now under logical drives its listed as F and shows free space available.

Suggestions on how to fix this?

 

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that
