Windows 10: System path cannot be specified while installing wsl

so i was trying to install wsl way back just for fun and interrupted it in the middle and following i deleted all the files related to wsl since i did not have much knowledge about it althoug the wsl.exe file is there it says system path cannot be specified if i run wsl --install or check if wsl.exe is there or check wsl --status i tried reinstalling windows but the problem still persists i have done sfc /scannow it says there is no coruption and also done dism restore health but nothing works i want to install the wsl for my development process but this sitution is hindering me to do so kindl

How to find the absolute path to WSL

I am attempting to import a Linux distro into WSL2 using a TAR file and need clarification on specifying the installation location.

My step so far:

Using the documentation from : Import any Linux distribution to use with WSL

Using the example in the documentation: wsl --import <DistroName> <InstallLocation> <InstallTarFile>

I believe the the InstallLocation is WSL and if so, how do i find my absolute path to WSL?

 

Wsl Installation Command timed out in Windows Powershell

When I enabled the Windows Subsystem for Linux feature and tried to run the "wsl --install" command in powershell, I received the following message. How do I move forward to install the latest distribution?

Lists distributions.

--all

--running

List only distributions that are currently running.



--quiet, -q

Only show distribution names.



--verbose, -v

Show detailed information about all distributions.



--online, -o

Displays a list of available distributions for install with 'wsl --install'.



--set-default, -s <Distro>

Sets the distribution as the default.



--set-version <Distro> <Version>

Changes the version of the specified distribution.



--terminate, -t <Distro>

Terminates the specified distribution.



--unregister <Distro>

Unregisters the distribution and deletes the root filesystem.

 

Scanning/system cannot find the path specified
