Windows 10: SYSTEM RECOVERY FAILURE TO FIX WINDOS 10

Need help for my windows 10. My system hangs while I'm working and its been a while so I forcibly press the off and on button when it start. I got a screen message that says Preparing Automatic Repair. Tried waiting for almost a day and its the same and hasn't start re-pairing the disk. I tried another way by pressing F11 to start system recovery but it is also stuck and the message is PLEASE WAIT. I leave it overnight and when I check it, its the same message. Can someone suggest a solution for this. Than you very much in a

[HELP]Image recovery issues

Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?
