Windows 10: System repair disk DVD's that I created on Windows 11 PC's will not boot.

Greetings, I have tried 5 different Windows 11 PC's, 3 different DVD drives 2 external and 1 internal and 2 different DVD-R manufactures. I even bought a new external DVD drive and brand new high quality DVD-R's just to try. System repair disk DVD's that I created earlier under Windows 10 will still boot correctly on Windows 11 PC's. Has anyone else tried booting their Windows 11 system repair disk DVD's?Regards,Rich

Tried to create system repair disk for windows 10 but getting an error "media speed incompatible".

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your time.

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below in order to create a system repair disc.

• Run the media creation tool.
• Select Create installation media for another PC.
• Choose the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10.
• Follow the steps to create the installation media, and then select Finish when it’s done.
• When you’re ready to perform a clean installation, turn on your PC, insert the DVD or USB flash drive you created, and then shut down your PC.
• 
  Restart your PC, and then press any key to boot from the DVD or USB flash drive.

Windows 10 "Create a system repair disk" will not boot

Of course my systems boots when there is a disk in the CD/DVD drive.

When i insert a Windows 10 installation disk, it boots from it.

Also i tried several different brand CD's,

but still the made "System repair disk" on those doesn't boot.

I suggest you to perform start up repair from Windows Recovery Environment.

To get to Windows Startup Settings in the Windows Recovery Environment. You may follow the steps provided below and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

If you don't have a disk or USB, download the ISO from a working computer and try creating a bootable disk or USB.

• If you can't start your PC, follow these instructions to get to the Windows Recovery Environment.

• Start your computer from the installation media, Insert the DVD or USB flash drive and restart your computer.

• If you see a message asking you to “Press any key to boot from DVD,” do so. If you don’t see the message, you might need to change the boot order in your computer's BIOS settings so that it first starts from the DVD or USB.
• When you see the Install Windows page, tap or click Repair your computer to start the Windows Recovery Environment.
  
  • In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the Choose an option screen, tap or click Troubleshoot.
  
  • Tap or click, advanced options and then click on Startup repair.

After this complete the repair and see if you are able to boot in to your computer.
