Windows 10: System reset while using a tv hdmi as my monitor caused problems

Hello, I've recently decided to system reset my windows 10 laptop, one of my acquaintances dropped it and it has had a severely glitched screen Very corrupt white & black things ever since.


The preparing to reset finished while I was away doing some other things, and when I came back the tv I was using for my monitor said that it could not find anything hooked up to the HDMI.


When this happened I thought that maybe the HDMI could not pick up the system reset screen, but with what is happening now I have no idea.


The broken screen that my laptop has and my mouse has started turning on and off randomly and I cannot find any reason for this happening, usually it would ask me when the "Preparing for reset" thing finished that I had to unplug my charger and maybe close an application before it reset, but this time it seems to haven't.


I don't know if it has started the system reset It's been 4-5 hours after it finished preparing for restart or if its corrupt perhaps, do you know how this can be fixed?

No display on monitor when TV set as primary display

Issue solved

Removed DVI/HDMI cable from computer and monitor

Step 1: Check if the VGA monitor cable is defective.

1. Turn off computer
   
2. Connect the monitor VGA cable from the monitor to the VGA port on the computer
   
3. Turn on computer, VGA monitor cable is good.
   
   Step 2: Tun off computer
   

1. Connect HDMI Cable to HDMI port and TV
   
2. Turn on computer and TV, there is no monitor black screen
   
3. Click on the Windows logo, select the Settings icon , and then select
   
   System. Under Display there are two squares, labeled 1 and 2
   
   D Click on Advanced Display Settings:
   
   Display information: Display 1- Monitor Display 2 -TV
   
   E Right-click the Speakers icon in
   the taskbar, select Sound, click on Playback devices,

   AMD High Definition Audio Device ready.

Using a TV via hdmi as the only monitor.

I want to use a TV as my only monitor, with hdmi. I presently have an actual monitor connected via the hdmi port on my video card. How can I swap out the monitor and use the TV, and have this work again tomorrow? I got this far once before until the next
day. Once the computer went into wait mode, the TV stopped seeing it, and then I could not get back to seeing the computer, even by swapping the monitor back in for the TV.

 

Computer will not connect to Toshiba Monitor using HDMI to VGA

Hello Everyone,

Having problems connecting my computer HP pavilion desktop 590 to a Toshiba TV using HDMI to VGA connection. Any suggestions. Appears computer not recognizing the TV/monitor. Using the VGA on the TV that states PC connection.
