Windows 10: System Reset

Hi Microsoft, I am planning to reset my p.c. The kind of reset where all files, apps and settings will be gone. But I want to keep some files like music and videos so, I will create a drive partition. Will the files in the new Drive partition be also deleted in the process? Please help. I want to reset my PC because it's not running well.

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

@Maban - does GPU-Z fail the same way for you the way it does for me? I.e. total system freeze/lockup, requiring a hard reset?

@W1zzard - I will try the suggested steps later today, as I am not near that PC at the moment.

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it
