    System restore not working in windows 10 version 1703

    I have a problem with the system restore on windows 10, version 1703. Although I can create restore points, with no problems, when I try to restore then I get an error message that the restore did not complete with the code: 0x8007045b. The error message
    reads:

    System Restore failed to extract the original copy of the directory from the restore point.

    Source: %Program Files %WindowsApps

    Destination: AppxStaging

    An unspecified error occured during Sysyem Restore. (0x8007045b)

    Does anyone know of a fix for this?

    Thanks for coming in to assist, Cyrs. Bill, we have found an article on our support site that might help you resolve this issue. Although this is mainly applicable to Windows 8 platform, it should still be applicable as well for Windows 10. Kindly check
    the steps provided here and see if this will work for you:
    System Restore may fail with error code 0x8007045b if there is encrypted content in the restore point.

    Kindly give us an update as we are dedicated in helping you resolve this issue.

    System Restore Failed - 0x8007045b

    I have the same problem, I tried the fix provided in the above link but then system restore gives me a new error code: 0x80070026 so its still not working. Any fix? I don't want to reset my copy of windows.
