  1. System Restore taking up C: Drive disk space while being disabled!

I am trying to free up space on my C: Drive. However, when looking under storage in Windows settings, I noticed that increasingly more space is being used toward System Restore. Now it is up to about 60 GB of space! I actually disabled System Restore from using any space on my PC! My anti-virus software additionally has detected no malware on my computer! What is going on?!

    :)

Free hard disk space reduce after system restore

If your system is running ok now, you could disable system restore then re enable it, thus removing all previous restore points and freeing up that lost space!

Free hard disk space reduce after system restore

I have problem getting update for windows. So decided to do a system restore. After doing a system restore i am able to update my windows but notice the free hard disk space had reduce.
Before doing the system restore my free space in my C drive is about 33.6GB ( if i am not mistaken, quite sure anyway ) but after the system restore is 26.6GB. Despite having less program installed.
Any idea where to those free space in my C drive went? And any idea what went wrong?

System Restore taking up C: Drive disk space while being disabled!

    c drive space decrease

    Hello,

This behavior can occur when System Restore is turned on on your computer. System Restore uses a portion of the hard disk to store "restore points." These restore points are used by System Restore to return your computer to an earlier state.

System Restore creates a new restore point each time that you start the computer.

We suggest following advised steps to resolve issue in our support page regarding sorting

    C drive space decrease
    .

    Update us with the outcome.

    Regards.
