Windows 10: System Restore

I tried to do a system restore but got an error message:


"System Restore failed to extract the file (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\client\AppvIsvStream32.dll) from the restore point.

An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. (0x80070289)"


After some Googling, I saw that AppvIsvStream32.dll is associated with Microsoft Office. I've uninstalled Microsoft Office and tried to do a system restore but I would get the same error message. How can I successfully do a system restore? I don't care about having Microsoft Office, I just want LabVIEW and ActiveX to work properly.

Missing icons / buttons after System Restore

To address your concern, we suggest that you try to undo the restore or pick another restore point.

Please follow these steps to access system restore:

• Right-click (or press and hold) the Start button, and then select Control Panel.
  
• Search Control Panel for Recovery.
  
• Select Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.

  winver on the search bar and press Enter.

On another note, we also suggest that you check the Windows Defender settings and lower down the security if it is on high security. This can also be another issue why it is preventing an update to be installed.
