  1. System Service Exception BSOD while playing games. nvlddmkm.sys

Hello, over the past week, maybe two weeks. I have gotten a couple of BSOD while playing a game. It has happened with Assassin's Creed Origins, Destiny 2, and now League of Legends. I tried Display Driver Uninstaller on safe mode to see if maybe it was a bad driver, but I am still unsure if it would be the driver as the error I got was exactly the same

    Stop Code: System Service Exception
    What Failed: Nvlddmkm.sys

Everything I have looked up says somewhat different. From display driver to failing graphics card to even a failing power supply. My power supply is the oldest thing on my computer, its Antec Earthwatts Green 650W that I bought back in April of 2012. I do eventually plan to get a new one, but right now I am not able to do that for reasons I won't go into. It is high on my list of things to do when I get the money to do so.

With that in mind, I want to try and see if maybe its isn't a failing power supply. So I am hoping this crash log will find something that maybe I didnt see or if anyone else has an answer. Thank you!

    :)

BSOD (System Service Exception) only while gaming.

I think you have 4 8gb Ripjaws installed, and according to the specs for these RAM Modules, they should be at 1333MHz and can be OC'D up to 2133MHz?? Am I reading this wrong?

All four of yours, according to the Windows debugger output are all running at 667MHz. Am I missing something?

  3. BSOD (System Service Exception) only while gaming.

    Hello,

I have been having BSOD's on and off now for about 2 years and have exhausted all options thus far. I have replaced almost all my hardware except motherboard, ram, cpu. I have updated all drivers, software and windows dozens of times. I upgraded from Windows
7 to Windows 10 last year and the BSOD persisted.

Oddly it will only BSOD while gaming at random times. I could play 3 hours without it and then poof. Normally I only get the error message "System Service Exception", but every now and then I'll get a different message like "IRQL Not Equal or Less".

So any help would be appreciated. I could send you my dump file as well if need be. Here is a little sample.

    Description:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff80114164e22, 0xffffab8130dc7380, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: f182ef02-5df8-4759-b44e-e7d1b827752b.

That driver if for your graphics card, best to totally remove the nvidia driver program and re download it fresh. Im sure someone will jump on and ask for a dump and find other things but that particular driver is for nvidia matey *Smile

The dump definitely shows a problem with your graphics card/driver:

There is a newer driver available: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GeForce Game Ready Driver

Version: 388.43 WHQL Release Date: 2017.11.30 Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit Language: English (US) File Size: 441.41 MB

I suggest completely uninstalling the Nvidia display drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from WagnardMobile (near bottom of page) then install the latest shown above. Then do a custom install of only the NVidia graphics driver and the PhysX driver.

See if that gets rid of the problem.
