Windows 10: System Service Exception message while reverting to Windows 10

Yesterday I attempted to revert my computer back to windows 10, however I have been stuck on the “restoring your previous version of windows” screen for the past 24+ hours. Occasionally a screen comes up saying there’s a system service exception and the ntfs.sys failed, however I cannot get into my computer to fix any of these issues. Is there anything I can do about this?

Multiple "System Service Exception" BSOD


I've had a dozen or more System Service Exception BSODs, primarily while playing Star Wars Battlefront. These happened both before and after I upgraded recently to Windows 10.

I've tried reverting and reinstalling my graphics driver, with no result. Any advice or suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Since you can't access the system now only the BIOS screen, the only way to fix this is to repair the system using Windows 10 installation media.

Let’s try performing an in-place install or in-place upgrade which will refresh your Windows files and operating system without removing files or applications.
