Windows 10: System sound level won't stay put, it's always back on 100% after some time

Hi guys!

I've got an annoying issue with sound levels, especially "system sounds" level. In short no matter how or when I change it to let's say 5%, after putting a PC to sleep, restart, or even an hour going by it's back to 100%, it's so annoyingly loud compared to my other sounds that I might disable it altogether at this point but that wouldn't be a real solution. I've tried everything from this thread nothing helps.
Just a note, on most of the things it stays put, only on MS Teams and system sounds it doesn't want to.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to follow the Steps below and check if that helps.

• Right click on the Sound icon on the Taskbar.
• Click on Sound and Select Playback tab.
• Right Click on Speakers and Select
  Properties.
• Click on Levels tab and adjust the sound level as per your requirement and click
  OK.
• Restart your computer and check if the sound level remains same.
