Okay so I have been having some blue screen issues. I have tried many troubleshooting solutions but I cannot seem to find out what is causing these issues and I need a hand. Minidump info included in link. Ran memtest today with 8 passes 0 Errors.

    System thread exception not handled

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    • The two error codes: thread and service exceptions are the only two messages that I can see.
    • I only recently updated anaconda and the ubuntu app.
    • This happens when I was using the ubuntu(/bash) to scp a backup of the videos to somewhere, as my outlook space is full.
      • this happened twice, after the first scp command, it can still start up,
      • after the second it is totally dead.
    More info:

I tried to have boot the laptop with a USB disk and tried to mount the hard disk. It appears there are 7 partitions, which are may be too many. If I don't mount partition 1-6 with read only mode, it gives an error message, saying that the NTFS partition
    is in an unsafe state.

Is this because that the SSD is bad?

Partition 7 has a onekey recover image. I don't know how I can use them if I have the ssd replaced.

  3. System Thread Exception not handled

    Hello,

I have Windows 10 and sometimes the internet disconnects and when I use the troubleshooter to try to fix it, my computer goes to a blue screen with "System Thread Exception not handled", restarts and the internet works again.

    How can i fix this?

    Thanks.

    System Thread Exception Not Handled.

  5. Okay, I have adjusted my post per your request. For the sake of note I also wanted to expound upon my issues. My computer works perfectly 99% of the time as long as I am not gaming. I am seriously hoping against hope it's a driver issue that windows update can't pinpoint. If it is hardware, I need desperately to isolate the problem so I can replace the part. Thank you so much for your patience and your reply! You are too kind.

Analysing the 3 most recent crashes shows some graphics stuff (to keep it simple) and 1 of them shows the Hal.dll (Hardware Abstraction Layer) which is the Windows DLL that provides communication possibilities with the hardware.

Warning Your GPU temperatures will rise quickly while Furmark is running. Keep a keen eye on them and abort the test if temperatures rise too high

Something to note, if you are overclocking anything you need to revert back to stock and test your system.

  7. Okay I am working on this today, and I didn't consciously do anything to overclock, but I looked up how to stop overclocking in case I am and I read that there's a program for my Mobo called Asus AI Suite 3 which will tell me if I am overclocking. If I am I will set the BIOS to not be overclocking. (I think I did already because I went in and set it to default). I will then run furmark for 30 minutes, and keep a close eye.

I ran Furmark for about 31 minutes, at which point I hit F9 to take a screenshot and the program crashed. It didn't have any errors otherwise. I am confused, what should I do?

Run it again but longer and watch the temps

  10. Sorry for the long wait, but I finally got back to my computer today and ran another test. I ran it for 35 minutes this time, no errors. The temp was pretty fast to get to 81, the fan kicked in and then it stayed at 81 for 30 seconds or so, went to 82 and kept going up gradually until it hit 85 and pretty much hung there. I tried again to take a screenshot and it crashed again. What now? Longer?

If you haven't yet cleaned your system of any dust, I would suggest to do so and make sure the airflow is proper, also try to reseat your GPU, try to prevent any damage and check for any damage.
