Windows 10: System tray icons turned from black to white

HiI clicked something - not sure what - and my desktop wallpaper changed. So I went into Settings and chose the default Windows Theme in order to set the desktop wallpaper back to the standard blue. As soon as I did this, I noticed that the icons in my system tray turned white - this is things like the battery icon, the wifi icon, the volume icon, etc. Also the start menu button. I can't find anywhere to change this back to black. I have looked within "Colours" but can't find it there - I am using Dark default windows mode and Light default apps mode, with Transparency Effects on. I have a blu

White System Tray Icons on White Taskbar in Windows Light theme issue

I have the Windows Light theme as my Windows theme and the system tray icons are white whereas they are supposed to be black



Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.388)

As you can see the Input Indicator and Clock successfully switch to black but the Network and Sound icons remain white.

Notification area (system tray) icons missing, Reset did not work

With regard to your query about the system tray, we suggest that you follow the steps below and see if it helps.

• Right-click on an empty space in your desktop taskbar and select Properties.
• In the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window, find the selection labeled
  Notification Area and click on Customize.
• Click on Turn system icons on or off.
• If you'd like to always show all icons, turn the slider window to On.
• Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.
