Windows 10: System tray vanishes except when task manager is running

    System tray vanishes except when task manager is running


    The system in my taskbar with the clock, battery, etc has disappeared. I've poked around the internet to try to fix it, and it seems like the "Windows Explorer" process is at fault. When I open the task manager window, the tray appears. But as soon as I close the task manager, it disappears again.I'm running Windows 11. The only thing I've changed recently is antivirus stuff. The following update was installed this morning:Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 Version 1.381.2735.0

    Task Manager on start-up and minimized to tray

    Confirmed on W10 2004 what you said - Task Manager starts minimized with an icon in the taskbar. If I click on the Task Manager taskbar icon, then minimize the Task Manager window, the taskbar icon goes away and Task Manager remains in the tray.

    Windows security doesn't appear on system tray or task manager start up

    Windows security is running on my windows platform but I cannot see the display icon at system tray or task manager. How do I get the system tray icon back?

    System tray vanishes except when task manager is running

    Task Manager not running


    I have added a new task to the ones already populated which I suppose were in Win7
    The new task or the present tasks are not running as there is no entry in the history or
    recently run file
    are there other steps necessary to get the new task manager to start up ?
