Windows 10: System Update Running for Greater then 24 HOURS

Yesterday, 7/1 I was presented with an Intel Driver update on my Alienware Area 51 Laptop. Windows 10 with all the latest updates. I decided to accept the update and it started installing about 10 am yesterday. This picture has been on my screen for 24 hours now. The fans are running constantly but with this unit I don't have indicators of HDD activity like I used to with SATA drive. I have not had an update take this long to install in many years. I can not stop, suspend, or access any of the features of the Windows software. But my biggest concern is even when I push the ON/OFF Button

Windows 10. 12 to 24 hours

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

To change the time format from 12 hour to 24 hour in Windows 10.

Follow the steps:

• Navigate to Control panel.
• In the category view of the control panel, click on the
  ‘Change date, time, or number formats’.
• Change the short time to HH:mm from the drop down.
• Press Apply to make the changes.
• Now your time format will change to 24 hour format.

Change 24 hour clock to 12 hour, French operating system

I am Jaspreet Singh.

Please follow these steps:

Start the registry editor (press win key and type in regedit. Right click on the result and click run as administrator)

Move to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International

From the Edit menu select New - String

Enter a name of iTime

Double click and set to 0 for 12 hours and 1 for 24 hours. Click OK

Close the registry editor

Restart the system.

 

Cannot display time greater than 24 hours on Windows Timer.

To reproduce this bug:

1. Open "Alarms & Clock."

2. Select "Add new timer."

3. Set timer to 30 hours.

4. Click "Save".

Note that the hours displayed on the timer is 6! Not 30! The timer will run down 6 hours, then change to 24 and run out the rest of the time. This happens for any amount of time over 24 hours.



Please fix this.
