Windows 10: System will not let me run anything as administrator

I need to run the Services application as administrator in order to fix a different issue I am having. However when I select the run as administrator option, literally nothing shows up and I have tried on multiple different applications, including the command prompt. Not a second window, no error message, nothing. It just doesn't do anything. I have checked multiple times that my account is currently an administrator account and have done the "SFC /scannow" command in the command prompt to check for corrupted files and I am still not sure why I am not able to run anything as an administrator

System administrator and You Tube restricted mode

1. Are you using a local account or Microsoft account?
   
2. How many user accounts are there on the computer?
   
3. Do you have another administrator account on your computer?
   

I suggest you to refer the following link to Turn Restricted Mode on or off on YouTube - Computer - YouTube Help for YouTube.

If you are having another administrator account on your PC, you can login to the administrator account and provide administrator access to the user account. Follow the steps mentioned below.

Steps:-

1. Tap on Windows + R on the keyboard.
   
2. Type netplwiz in the run box.
   
3. Under the Users tab, click on the
   user account and click on properties.
   
4. Under Group Membership, select Administrator from the list.
   
5. Click on Apply and OK.

Applications won't start when run as administrator

We would like to know if there's any error message when you tried to run it as admin?

We suggest that you use the System File Checker tool to scan your system files and to repair missing or corrupted system files. The sfc/scannow command (System File Check) scans the integrity of all protected operating system files and replaces
incorrect, corrupted, changed or damaged versions with the correct versions possible. You may refer to this link for
more information.



If the issue persists even after using System File Checker tool, please follow the steps below to run the DISM tool:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select the Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, enter the following commands (Press the Enter key after each command):
  

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth



DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

• 
  To close the Administrator: Command prompt window, type Exit, and press Enter.
  
• 
  Restart the machine.

Can't 'Run as Administrator' even though I am the only Administrator.

Before providing you the troubleshooting steps I would like to know few more information.

• Are you logged in with an administrator account?
• Do you have any security software installed?

I would suggest you to check the system files are they working fine or not and to check that try to run
System File Checker (SFC) tool.

Method 1:

SFC scan will scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows 10.

1.
Press Windows key and
X at the same time.

2.
Choose Command Prompt (Admin) from the context menu.

3.
In the command prompt, type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.

4.
Exit command prompt.

Method 2:

Try enabling the built-in administrator
account by following the steps below and check if the issue persists.

1. Type CMD in the search bar.

2. Right click on Command prompt and select "run as administrator".
If you are able to run the command prompt in admin mode, proceed to the next step.

3. Type the following command and press enter:

net user administrator /active:yes

4. Run the following command to disable the Administrator account:

net user administrator /active:no
