    Hi everyone

    I'd like your help : I executed this command on the CMD but, after the scan, it said that while it has encountered corrupted files, it can not repair them or act on them/

    It told me to check C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log which I did but unfortunately I didn't understand anything. At all

    Is it a serious problem that I really need to act on ? If so, can anyone help me .

    SFC scannow not working but verify only is working

    there is no problem in chkdsk I've checked When I select command prompt and sfc scannow from f8 and repair.. it shows that a reboot is required for pending repair and pending renames folder in winsxs is full of files.. what should I do??

    Does DISM/Restorehealth fix all issues with SFC/SCannow?


    Which Win 10 version do you have ?

    In the last Win 10 version 10586.218, we had this problem.
    This reply from Microsoft Community forum suggested that it was an incorrect report, and that we could ignore it. Microsoft was working to fix it.

    The current 10586.318 appears to have this problem fixed........ at least to my computer.

    Sfc /scannow gave me a failure to fix issues?

    Hi moleshire

    If System File Checker failed to fix system errors the next step it to run this command and see if that can repair those errors:

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    When that command completes, run sfc /scannow again . . .
