Windows 10: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 3b An exception happened while executing a system service routine.

Dear, i keep on having BSOD's for the above mentioned reason. I received this PC upon starting my new job so i really don't know what the history of the device is and nobody can really tell. SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (3b)

Hi,

I am taking a class where we need to use the instructor provided VM image. However, when I tried to power on the virtual machine from VMWare Workstation, my PC show went to BSOD blue screen. I did some Google search and learned to find the error code which is 0x3b, and I also tried WinDbg but I couldnt understand what the minidump was saying. Can someone please help me look at this please? Thanks a lot!

The latest two dumps are 0x3B, and with memory ruled out I'm wondering if a driver is playing up here. It's possible it could be a system service as LUA File Virtualisation driver has been flagged in one, I'm not sure that's the cause but it's a possibility I suppose. You'll see in the text below that luafv.sys has been named as a probable cause, and if you scroll down you'll see more reference to memory corruption. Further down the Process Name is plugin-contain, which I believe is the plugin-container for Firefox.

As a test (as I'm pretty much guessing here) could you use a different browser to Firefox?
