SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION Windows 10 Pro (BOOTCAMP)

Hi, I've had Windows 10 Pro installed on My iMac since it came out and haven't had any problems with it. Yesterday, I went to boot into it and it gave me a blue screen that said SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. I was able to boot into safe mode and save all my files but I could not find the problem. I did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro expecting it to fix everything but after the installation I got the error again (Not immediately). I booted up, signed in, ran the bootcamp manager (installs drivers for wifi, trackpad, keyboard, camera, etc.) After that I restarted and everything was working fine. Then I went to download Office 365 and reinstall it, before I could even start the download the screen flickered then went black then I got the blue screen with SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION again.

Other then the bootcamp drivers I had not installed anything else but I had the bootcamp drivers running on the computer since last year and they have never caused any issues and are also necessary for running Windows on a Mac.

For anyone who doesn't know what BootCamp is, it basically the same as dual booting just on a Mac.

Anyway, does anyone know how I can figure out whats causing the problem and fix it? I can boot into safe mode to receive dump files etc. Also, I don't have any issues when running Mac so I don't think it's a hardware problem but maybe it could be.

    :)

  2. how do I reuse windows 10 licence from apple bootcamp if I want to create different sized partitions

I want to reclaim the space on my MacBook Pro, by removing the windows 10 bootcamp partitions, then install windows 10 through bootcamp on another MacBook Pro with a larger hard drive

Bootcamp is asking for the 64bit so it can partition the iMac and finish installation of windows 10 pro.

There are two known problems with bootcamp drivers...

AppleHFS.sys is known to cause BSOD. You can use autoruns to disable it - untick it under the drivers tab. You can use the free Paragon 8.1 HFS driver instead if you need access to HFS volumes.

    Attachment 63446

bcmwl63a.sys causes BSOD if you try to use Hyper-V. I had to replace the 7.25.118.40 version (7/24/2015) of bcmwl63a with an older Windows 8.1 version - I used version 6.30.223.215 (12/13/2013).

Otherwise you'll have BSOD followed by no WiFi connection possible after trying to create a virtual switch.

There are some important notes about your activation missing and I'm wondering if yours is genuine?
Even though your installation is a few days old, Windows should already have installed some hotfixes.
If I'm wrong, please tell me and check in the settings Windows Update for updates.
    Code: <LicensingStatus>SL_LICENSING_STATUS_UNLICENSED</LicensingStatus> Hotfix(s): N/A Original Install Date: 2/7/2016, 11:28:58 PM System Boot Time: 2/10/2016, 8:48:02 PM

My activation is 100% genuine as far as I know, I activated this copy of Windows 10 during the installation using my previous Windows 7 Pro key. The install is essentially only 2 hours old because despite being installed for a few days, it only successfully booted for 2 hours after the install then blue screened and would never boot again.

Also, I can't check for updates or do anything like that because the PC will only boot in safe mode and I do not have any internet access in safe mode

    Alright, no problem then *Smile

Unfortunately there are no logs about a bluescreen, but there are some WER's (Windows Error Reporting) about your Apple keyboard.
Another unfortunately, I can't suggest much since I don't have much to go on *Sad

It used to say collecting error data or something with a percent when it blue screened but after I ran that tool to receive the files to post them here it stopped doing that

Please check {windows partition}\windows\minidump and check if there are any dump files saved.
Please make sure your pc is configured for small dump files How to configure minidump | Windows 10 tutorial.

I know 2 ways to force a dump to be created, 1 is to see if there is actually a dump created with a system crash and the other will force a bluescreen in matter of a few seconds but the forced bluescreen is however not what you want because the error code won't be the error code you had.
