Windows 10: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 7e when Dell XPS 9700 is sleeping

Occasionally, whenever my Dell XPS 9700 is sleeping, it crashes and performs a hardware scan. This happens ~once/day. I ran the DMP file generated after one of these crashes through WinDBG and received the output pasted below. It looks like the Thunderbold driver is bombing out somewhere; I have the most up-to-date TbtBusDrv installed. Even SLEEP does not work properly (DELL XPS 27)


I tried all the remedies suggested for getting the display to go off after a time or after running ScreenOFF2 and keeping the display off. All without success-- the display always comes on again. Then I gave up and decided to set the computer to sleep. That worked fine except that waking it up was flakey it did not work without pressing the start button over and over. This is a DELL XPS27 all-in-one running Windows 10 and I think the XPS may have problems. Anyone have these sorts of experiences with DELL XPS?

 

Dell XPS 13 (9370) Getting Warm in Sleep Mode

I like my laptops to sleep when I close the lid and have set this up on my next Dell XPS 13.

When I put my other laptops to sleep they are stone cold but the Dell XPS stays as warm in sleep as it gets when doing light browsing.

I have run the powercfg /a and - energy reports and see that S3 doesn't seem to be supported and the XPS is using some other "sleep" protocol.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get this to sleep cold - Dell don't seem to have a clue.

Dell XPS 13 9333 - Windows couldnt not complete the installation, to install windows on this computer, please restart the installation

According to Dell's official Windows 10 Creators Update page, the Dell xps 13 9333 is not listed as tested:

You can try a manual upgraded as suggested in my previous reply using the ISO in addition to the 12 steps before upgrading.
