Windows 10: Systeme reserved and OS partition

Hello, I cloned a windows 10 form an orginal disk to an SSD disk using Aomei backuper.all works perfectley no probleme.But on the SSD i see one partition it s using the boot and the os in the same place note that the SSD is booting and workin with probleme !But i prefer for some reason to have two partition : boot and OS but how i can do it without to rebuild everythings !At this time i did not find any subject of it ! Thank you.

W10 System Reserved Partition Error

Recovery Partition vs System Reserved Partition

Both original & target SSD's are listed as MBR as opposed to UEFI. I may have created a partition unknowingly in getting the original/new unformatted drive recognized, but I don't recall taking any steps that Windows did not step me through.

Not that an upgrade to WIN 10 Pro is contemplated, but I suspect that having no System Reserved partition will not allow that to happen, after seeing how the original WIN 10 upgrade created a problem for some WIN 7 users that had a smaller 100mb vs 500mb System Reserved partition.

 

Create a System Reserved Partition and keep original OS

When you talk about System Reserved Partition, I assume you installed Windows using MBR partition scheme. All you need to do:
For Windows 10, The System reserved partition size is 500MB so:

1. Use Magic Partition Manager Software to shrink C drive and create a 500MB partition, format as NTFS in front of C drive.
2. Use EasyBCD 2.2 - Neowin to move the BCD to the newly created partition, rename it as System Reserved and remove the drive letter from this partition.
   
   
   
   NOTE: use the drive letter assigned for 500MB partition istead of C as shown in screen shot.
