Virus/Windows error

I could be wrong. I use bitdeffender and I'm sure they have a way to scan the computer with out physically booting into windows I sometimes also use malwarebytes and I'm sure they have that type of way to. I highly suggest trying both even if just save mode.

Their is another way.

Take out his haRd drive plug it into yours as external and If you can then have the drive show on your pc. Scan that drive with yours then boom! ! Bye bye virus!

 

Windows 10 registers Malwarebytes as anti-virus program

Hello,

I use AVG anti-virus and Malwarebytes running on Toshiba Satellite with Windows 10.

The Windows registers both as anti-virus and says Malwarebytes is off (it isn't) and I get an error icon on the side bar and notification.

I also followed a link to security and maintenance saw the three (including MS anti-virus) but I was not able to remove Malwarebytes as a anti-virus from this list.

Any ideas on this will be greatly appreciated.

Is C:\Windows\syswow64\Explorer.exe a virus?

So, as it turns out, it was a virus.

I rebooted my Windows after scanning it to find that it had triggered a diskpart on my machine, wiping my hard drive.

I took it to the local computer store, and the guy that worked there said that it would of caused it. (He somehow managed to check logs that were on my motherboard.)

Virus Total said it was a virus and Malwarebytes said it was a virus, but I couldn't remove it.

Ah well, i'll just switch to Linux then
