Windows 10: systemsettings.exe

This is a known fact: SystemSettings.exe running suspended in the background causes a 4-5 second delay in processing shortcut key combinations CTR ALT 'letter or number' and it really slows down my workflow because I use a lot of these shortcuts.That being said, this cropped up a few years ago and disabling the service superfetch fixed this problem for me for the past few years.Now again with Windows 11 22H2 SystemSettings.exe starting showing up in Task Manager as suspended running in the background, slowing down my workflow. • Have you tried creating a new admin account to check if the issue also with new account or only with the current account?

USB drive will not run exes.

I suggest you to run the program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persist.

• Right click on the “.exe” file of the program and select properties.
• Under Compatibility tab, check the option for “Run in Compatibility mode”.
• Select the Operating System from the drop down list.
• Click on Apply and OK.
