Windows 10: T480 ps/2 keyboard randomly stops working?

Hello, when I was watching a movie few days ago, I noticed that the internal keyboard suddenly stopped working, after a short while the touchpad stopped responding as well. I reset my pc and reinstalled windows 11, nothing changed. I reinstalled drivers, nothing happened either. The odd thing is, both the touchpad and keyboard are working in Bios. The only thing to make it work in windows is: When turning on the computer I hold down on the on button for 10 seconds and it magically starts working for a few hours, but it stops responding out of the blue again after a few hours. PS/2 keyboard not working

Question:- does a laptop keyboard use PS/2 interface or other?

My problem:- PS/2 desktop keyboard has stopped working; reseated PS/2 connection - same problem. The computer knows when keys are pressed because the speakers issue a click BUT characters aren't forthcoming.

WORKAROUND

Start the virtual keyboard and hey-presto - the physical keyboard springs into life (you can tell because the caps-lock light suddenly starts working.)

Really weird. The PS/2 mouse is fine. To cut our losses I'll try a USB keyboard tomorrow.

 

Internal Keyboard showing as Standard PS/2 Keyboard in Device Manager

Sr, I am using Windows 10 on my Lenovo Laptop. My PC was OK till I connected a PS/2 keyboard on it. After I disconnected that PS/2 keyboard, My internal Keyboard is badly working i.e it is autotyping a particular key randomly and whenever I go on Device
Manager, The keyboard Driver is showing as Standard PS/2 keyboard though there is not any PS/2 keyboard connected. I have uninstalled the keyboard driver and restarted my PC but there is a beeping sound and the Standard PS/2 keyboard driver is back on device
manager. I have also removed my internal Keyboard and reinstalled it but no difference was made. I have also attached the Standard PS/2 keyboard again but nothing worked. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Windows 10 but nothing actually worked. Should I buy
a new internal Keyboard? Will that fix the problem? I actually don't know why is my internal Keyboard is showing as Standard PS/2 keyboard in device manager. Please help and suggest me what to do to fix this.
