Windows 10: Tablet mode for terminal connected solely to touchscreen.

Hello,I just replaced a windows 10 machine with a windows 11 machine connected solely to a touchscreen no keyboard or mouse. In the windows 10 machine I just toggled Tablet Mode and everything worked well enough. On windows 11 I figured it would just move to tablet mode when there was no keyboard or mouse attached as is the case on my surface. Unfortunately that is not the case, the attached touchscreen works but can't I get the touchscreen keyboard to come up or the more touch friendly tablet mode to activate. Any suggestions?

Tablet Mode doesn't automatically turn on

We suggest you to follow the below steps to make the tablet mode permanent:

• Click start and select settings.
• Select settings and then select tablet mode.
• Now you have different options to choose from, please choose settings that suits you.

Windows 11 Tablet Mode on Desktop with touchscreen

Hello!

I have a kitchen workstation PC that does not have a connected keyboard or mouse. I used to have Windows 10 on it and it had the convenient feature of turning on "Tablet Mode" in the system tray. I tried Windows 11, but that doesn't seem to be available anymore. I read that Windows 11 detects the touchscreen automatically, but it isn't in tablet mode for me. I have an Asus VT229H touchscreen monitor. How can I get tablet mode working in Windows 11?

I suggest you to sign-out from the current user account, restart the computer, sign-in and check if it helps.

Follow the below to enable Tablet mode on Windows 10:

• Press Windows+ I keys, click on System icon.
• Click on Tablet Mode on the left side, and select Use tablet mode,
  Use desktop mode, or Use the appropriate mode for my hardware under
  When I sign in on the right side for what you want.
• When finished, you can close Settings if you like.

Also, I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
