Windows 10: Tablet mode not working correctly on HP Envy Convertible laptop

I don't even know what caused this one, I reinstalled windows because i had the wrong edition installed, and ever since I did that, the tablet mode of my laptop stopped working correctly. It is a convertible laptop so i can fold it and use it as a tablet, but when I fold it, it doesn't switch to tablet mode, and when i manually switch it, the keyboard still functions, and the backlight is still on. it is suppoed to turn off when I fold the laptop.


I did look online, and the solution I came across is to go to settings and make sure the "use the setting appropriate for my hardware" setting is selected, but that particular setting does not exist for me. I made no hardware changes prior to reinstalling Windows, and it worked perfectly before.


Please let me know what I can do.

Tablet Mode Keyboard

I have a Windows 10 HP ENVY x360 Convertible. Whenever I switch from laptop to tablet mode, I expect the regular keyboard to disable itself, but it doesn't. Thus, when I turn it into tablet mode, the regular keyboard's keys hit the table and it keeps typing.
Is there any way I can disable the keyboard in tablet mode?

 

HP Envy x360 Won't Auto-Switch to Tablet Mode

Hi,

I have a 2 year old HP Envy x360 with Windows 10. Recently, when I fold my laptop into the tent or tablet positions, it remains in desktop mode even though I have the settings set to "Don't ask me and always switch." In addition to this, the keyboard and
trackpad stay active when the laptop is folded back, so even when I put it in tablet mode and flip the display manually, I have to hold the device up vertically to avoid keys being pressed or the trackpad being clicked.

This is a real inconvenience because I use my laptop for a lot of reading and watching, which is a lot easier to do in tablet mode than in desktop mode. What should I do?
