Windows 10: Tabs won't open from taskbar.

I got a new pc yesterday with windows 11 pre installed. I've been having an issue where tabs do not open from my taskbar or my shortcuts. I've been able to restart windows explorer from the task manager, but that didn't fix anything. I have tried to do a clean boot and a system restore point, but I haven't been able to actually do those because they open a tab on my taskbar which I am unable to actually open. Another issue I've had is that when I opened my pc this morning, all the shortcuts I had last night were deleted, including the recycling bin shortcut.

Applications won`t maximize

Following a W10 update, applications only open as minimised on the taskbar and won`t maximize. I have tried closing them minimised but no good. Can anyone help ? thanks

 

Windows won`t open an program when using Microsoft user

Windows won`t open an program when I try to open it with Microsoft account user, but when I login with local account, that program opens. I have tried with 2 Microsoft accounts, 1 admin and 1 normal user, and it won`t open in either one of them. What can cause this?

Step 1: Run Windows app troubleshooter.

Step 2: Run shell commands for Windows store and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Command prompt(Admin) to open elevated Command prompt.
  
• 
  Type the following commands.
  
  
  
  powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml
  
• 
  Hit enter, the blackscreen will appear still for a couple of seconds. After a couple of second a new line saying C:\.... will appear.
  
• 
  Close Command Prompt.
  
• 
  Try to start the Windows Store again.
