    'take ownership' in Win 10

In my trusty Win 7 I had installed/inserted a 'take ownership' command in the normal task bar when right clicking on an object. I think this was from Brink ? Is this available in 10 and is it the same process to install it ?

    Thanks....TiminAz

    :)

error: "You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission"

It sounds like a Windows Access Rights issue. For some reason your ID no longer has access rights to that folder. Here are some tips on how to "take ownership" of files and folders

  3. Administrator rights

In win 10 there is a change. Trusted installer owns anything to be installed or removed. To be able to delete files "owned" by trusted installer you need to take ownership

Trusted installed is both a security measure and a measure to keep the average user from breaking the OS.
