  1. Taking backup on External Harddisk

I need to take back-up from Laptop (where Encryption bit locker is enabled) to External hard disk.

When I connect my External hard disk, Win 10 OS is asking me to enable Encryption without which OS will not allow me to copy the data.

Pls can you let me know if I enable encryption on my (brand new) External hard drive. Can I view, open & Copy the data into another Laptop where encryption is not enabled?

    Thanks

    Praveen

    seagate expansion 1tb external harddisk

    hi all,
i recently bought a seagate expansion 1tb external harddisk to backup my whole system and format.
so when i connceted it to backup my system,it starts a beeping sound.
so i searched around the net,and found that my harddisk is not getting enough power.
I tried it on friends laptop, its working absolutely fine, tried copying and deleting data both.
But sometimes the hard disk on my pc gets detected, but when i try to copy data,it gets disconnected and starts beeping again.
is there anysolution to this problem.
the hardisk is new,and works on my firends system.
my system is given is system spec.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

External media drive not offered for backup

We understand that you want to back up your files on your DVD. At this point, we suggest that you try these steps so you can create a backup of it:

    • Open the folder that contains the files that you want to back up.
    • Select the files to be moved on the DVD disc inserted.
    • Click Share on the tab section of the window.
    • Click Burn to disc to transfer it to the DVD disc.

In case these steps didn't work, kindly consult your manufacturer so they could recommend a software compatible for your computer to burn your files on your DVD.

    Regards.
