    Hi,

    So I have a new HP Windows 10 laptop - 1.2GHz i3 1005G1 processor, 128 SSD, FHD, 4GB RAM DDR4.

Is there any reason why if I took this out of S mode, the laptop would slow down at all? I am perfectly happy with the laptop as it is but I am aware that it can't download all the software that others members of my family would like on there Zoom app, Sims 4 game, for example.

I can't see an issue with it out of S mode as it seems a pretty capable, if low-end, laptop to me. However, I'd like a second opinion before going ahead.

Also, would taking it out of S mode invalidate any warranty on the model?

Cheers in advance for any advice,

    Mark

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
