Windows 10: Tasbar

How can i get rid of the weather & news etc on the taskbar. The weather item is usually wrong & the news thing keeps popping up in the middle of things. Its driving me nuts. Thanks

Windows 10 desktop tasbar is not working!

For about 2 weeks now my desktop tasbar has not been working- I can't use any of the apps like sound, explorer edge or access my settings! Also the start button does not work either so it's hard to shutdown the laptop. I have to manually press the button
which I'm sure is not ok for the laptop. I have tried everything the sfc/scannow, creating a new user, resetting my laptop, account, Microsoft tech support and the problem still exists! Can anyone please help????!!! Thank you Monroope

If it's a feature why it occur only with the tasbar on top?

 

Taskbar icons are not working including notofication icons.

To assist you further, I like to know; Do you receive any error message, while trying to access the tasbar icon on new user account?



If the issue persists in new user as well, I suggest you to download the media creation tool to install windows 10 and create Windows 10 installation DVD media and try Repairing your Computer.

Follow the below steps:

  Create installation media for windows 10.
  
  Refer to the below link:

• 
  Insert the Windows 10 installation DVD in the DVD ROM and restart your computer.
  
• 
  After you boot your computer using Windows DVD or System Repair Disc, a black screen appears with gray text "Press any key to boot from DVD". Press any key.
  
• 
  Select the correct time and Keyboard type.
  
• 
  Click Repair your computer in the lower left corner.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instruction.
