    Task bar flicker


    Have a Surface pro 4, have been tortured by task bar flicker for months tryed everything you have posted on this problem to no avail. Windows 10, Microsoft computer. WHY?

    Flickering black desktop

    Thank you for your reply. I tried safe mode, and that stopped the task bar from flickering but nothing else responds other than the control alt delete menu. I can't open anything other than command prompt though, so I can't try most of the other suggestions on that list.

    Cannot modify Task Bar settings

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern and will be happy to assist you.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

    • Right click on the Task Bar.
    • Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

    Task bar flicker

    Windows 10 task bar randomly flickers?

    I am seriously going to go crazy my windows task bar flickers every few minutes sporadically, it can range from once every 5 minutes to once every 15 but there is always a flicker especially when have an empty recycling bin and send something to it.
    the flickering looks exactly like this in the bottom of the task bar except it happens randomly and also when i try to trash something with an empty recycling bin.
