Windows 10: Task bar icons are too small

    Task bar icons are too small


    Windows 7 has a way to make the icons on the task bar significantly larger--n essential resource for those with poor eyesight or a small screen. Windows 10 appears to have dropped that feature and instead has just two size settings: "small" in which the icons are vanishingly tiny, and regular in which the icons are still very small.


    Is there no way within Windows 10 to enlarge the task bar icons? Or is Microsoft working on an update that will do so? And in the meantime, is there a free aftermarket web source for such an indispensable fix for this apparent omission in Windows 10?

    Small Icons on task bar

    Hi Kathryn,

    Follow the below to increase the size of icons in Task bar and check if it helps.

    • Right click on Taskbar in the bottom of the
      Desktop window.
    • Click on Properties/ Settings, uncheck the option
      Use small taskbar buttons.

    Hope it helps. Reply to the post for further assistance on accessing the taskbar icons for further assistance.

    small app icons at the task bar

    As you can see in the picture,
    my store icon is surrounded by my theme color, and the real icon is very small
    This appears on other store apps like music, calc...etc
    what can I do at this situation???

    Task bar icons are too small

    Task bar icons

    There have been several suggestions about this and none work. I get to Display in Settings and the bar to increase the size is grey so I cannot move it to increase it. I know how to increase the size of the task bar space but that does nothing as far
    as the icons. The funny thing was they were an adequate size so I know they can be bigger and when I had to reboot my computer, they came back small (and no, "small" icons is not checked)
