    Task Bar Icons missing and cannot launch ms-settings on Windows 11


    I started my system today and the icons on my task bar were all missing. The rounded conner of windows are now disabled, too. Besides, I can neither launch settings. I tried launching ms-settings: from win+R and got file system error-2018374635Tried:restore my systemsolution from this post: FIX INCLUDED No Icons on Task Bar on Windows 11solution from this post: File System Error -2018374635 happens when i try to open ms-settings: threw Win+R.None of the above worked form my problem.Can I get some help?

    battery icon on task bar

    Hi Pete,

    Windows 10 has a feature to personalize your task bar icons. To retrieve the missing battery icon on your taskbar, kindly follow the steps below:

    • Right click on the taskbar and select Settings.
    • Under Notification Area, click Turn system icons on or off.
    • Look for Power and toggle Power to On. Your battery icon should appear in the system tray again.

    Let us know if this worked.

    microsoft edge icon missing from task bar

    I actually have two icons that are missing - MS Edge and MS Store. There is a blank where those icons used to be on my task bar. They are still there because I can mouse over them and execute them but there is no image on the task bar.
