  1. Task bar is partially broke on Win 10 v1803, build 17134.523

The problems started after I downloaded the game D&D online, and it installed a version of DIrectX. The game graphics barely worked, and starting the Civilization 6 game would crash my computer. To get rid of the DIrectX, I used the restore point that was created before it was installed. Now Civ 6 is running as expected, but the task bar is partially broke. I cannot access the start menu at all. The search input does not work. The link to Task View, Edge, Windows Explorer, Mail and Calculator all give an explorer.exe error message that says "Class not registered". My Snipping Tool and Teamspeak links do work. Windows Key + R works, but Windows key + X does nothing.

I have run sfc /scannow in a powershell window and see corrupted files. From the CBS log I see several broken components:

    Cannot repair member file [l:10]'efisys.bin'

    Cannot repair member file [l:9]'esent.dll'

    Cannot repair member file [l:17]'ImagingEngine.dll'

    Cannot repair member file [l:20]'UIAutomationCore.dll'

Could not reproject corrupted file \??\C:\WINDOWS\Boot\DVD\EFI\en-US\\efisys.bin; source file in store is also corrupted

I tried running DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, but it failed with error code 0x80080005.

I thought I code get a new ISO image, so I tried running the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool. I told it to use a freshly formatted 64 GB USB flash drive to place the files. It failed with error code 0x80080005 - 0x90017

What can I do to fix this system? I would rather not have to reinstall Win 10 and all my apps.

    :)
