Windows 10: Task Bar Placement Windows 11

I updated to Windows 11 and can no longer move my task bar to the left side of my screen. I don't want the task bar on the bottom of my screen as I find it difficult to work with it there. I have brought my laptop back to the Geek Squad and they informed me that it can be done, but the upgrade has made it so that it may not function properly. Being able to move our task bars has been possible for probably 20 years if not longer. How can this option be reinstated on my laptop? Thank you in advance.

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

Windows 11 Top Task bar Problem

Hi everyone, I have had a problem with my task bar in Windows 11 ever since I moved it to the top. I have two problems. First is the Wi-Fi logo, and the application in the taskbar won't pop out when I hover my mouse.

• If I click on the Wi-Fi button from the task bar, it pops out in the wrong format, like the upper portion of the box is cropped.
  

• If I hover my mouse in the application that I opened in the taskbar, there is no preview of small boxes of window application.
  

I have loved the top window ever since I was using Windows 10 and I want to apply it again in my Windows 11. All of your suggestions or solutions are greatly appreciated, thank you :>

 

Windows 10 Defender - How to make it default to task bar?

Using Windows 10 and currently I am using Defender for anti virus. For whatever reason Windows Defender does not show up in the task bar unless I search for the program or right click and scan a file/folder. Is there a way to force Defender to show up in the task bar at start up?
