    task bar right hand symbols mixed up and doubled since 21H1 updates


    I am running Windows 10 21H1 on an HP450 laptop with most recent updates including KB5003214 and KB5003254 installed on 5/29/2021. This morning, 5/30/2021, the icons on the right hand side of the task bar are missing, mixed up, or doubled up. I tried re-booting and that did not help. If I click some of the icons or open spaces, they show up, double up, etc and after a couple of minutes, eventually straighten themselves out. Symbols are: HP Support icon, "^" to show hidden icons, Battery symbol, Internet Security, Wireless Internet Access, Speakers, Time&Date, Notification symbol. Th

    Cannot modify Task Bar settings

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern and will be happy to assist you.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

    • Right click on the Task Bar.
    • Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

    icons jump in task bar lower right

    The task bar icons move around in lower right hand side of task bar. sometimes they stop. never know when they will start moving again.
