Windows 10: Task Bar shows date and time one day, the next day just the time shows windows 10

I do not lock the Task Bar. In the system tray, Yesterday it only showed the time. Today it shows the Date and Time the way I have set it in the settings. I have never locked the task bar, but am trying that today, since both the date and time shows up. It is every other day that the Date and Time shows up, the next day, just the time. I have not added any buttons, in fact I have deleted some. I have gone through every setting I could find. Suggestion, Put all of the settings for the clock and date in ONE place. Instead of having to hunt for all of the settings. for settings.

How do I show date and time on task bar with Windows 10. it used to be on lower right corner, where did it go?

 

[SOLVED] Show solely time on task bar -- How?

Win10 v.1803.

I had somehow (...forgotten, now...) turned off day-of-week & date so that the task bar clock solely showed the time. A few days ago, Windows decided to set the task bar clock back to time + day-of-week + date. That caused my skinny task bar to 'inflate'
to twice its previous height.

I've searched & searched & searched for a way to return the task bar clock to solely time but have not found joy.

Anyone know how to do this?

How do I get the date and time to show on task bar? It was showing until I downloaded an update.
