Windows 10: Task bar widgets are gone, replaced with boxes?

Can someone please help me figure out why my task bar widgets bottom right corner, see picture are showing as tiny boxes instead of icons? I also notice these small boxes elsewhere in random menus etc. second picture. Help to fix this would be most appreciated. TIA

Search box gone from the task bar?

The search box on the left side of the taskbar is gone since I upgraded to Windows 11. Can I put that search box back on the task bar?

 

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

Weather widget on the task bar

The weather widget on the task bar is frozen at the night time temperature from a few days ago. I've tried turning it off then turning it on but it's unchanged. Any ideas of how to get it to work? Thank you!
